How To Access The HP Toolbox Using Windows XP

Many HP printers use a piece of software called the HP Toolbox in order to perform many of the maintenance tasks associated with your printer (head cleaning, ink level estimation, etc). In order to access the HP Toolbox, you should do the following…

1. Click Start, then Printers and Faxes.
2. Click the desired printer icon to highlight it.
3. Click File, then Printing Preferences .
4. Click the Services tab.
5. Click OpenToolbox .
6. Click the desired task.

Another alternative way is to use the HP Director from the desktop as follows…

1. Double-click the HP Director icon on the Desktop.
2. Click the Utilities option.
3. Click the Printer Maintenance button.
4. Click the desired task.
